Alpine Quilt Retreat

Last night at our Alpine Meeting we had a little show of vintage aprons and there was one technique I just had to show you! This little beauty had rick rack on the edges that was done in the most darling way. I took a close up of the back so you can see that one edge of the rick rack is underneath and one is on top. Then the seamstress add little 'leaves' over the top of the point of the rick rack and made french knots between in the 'ditches'. In any case, this might be so cute on the edge of a quilt or to embellish children's clothing, etc. I simply had to share it with you.

This is a quilt of Nancy's and a real beauty. The handwork is over the top! And the one below is also beyond beautiful. ALL of that cute blue you see is not a printed fabric, but is all handwork!

This is another beauty. That's Nancy on the left. Very sweet woman!

I really liked the quilt above because it's simple and scrappy and fun the one below is amazing. It's called something about Civil War Love Letters and is so beautiful.
